The end of the year is the perfect time to put together and review many of the key math skills that students have learned throughout the year!

This Planning a BBQ Party {Differentiated} Math Project gets students practicing a wide variety of key math skills while working their way through a fun real-world scenario. Students will have a blast planning all of the details of their family's backyard BBQ party! They must select a date and time, purchase and send invitations, get a count of who will attend, plan and purchase food, purchase supplies, decorations, and activities, set up the backyard, and much more!

There are two different versions of this project included: basic and advanced. While most activities are the same, the main difference is that the advanced version includes decimals and decimal operations (particularly with money). The basic version is ideal for 4th grade, while the advanced version is ideal for 5th grade.
